This CD reached out and grabbed me from the very first seconds of initial track "Mass of Fury". Cleanly produced and driven metal, from their press package to the music I was amazed that this is an unsigned band. It literally made me want to send it to all the heavy minded A&R reps I know with a huge CHECK THIS OUT!!! in the subject line.
Kaos originates in Hayward, California and is one of many talented hardcore bands rising from California's bay area underground scene. Powerful, unique, hardcore metal with enough old school thrash thrown in to excite the most jaded of all old schooler's it features blistering guitar riffs, punishing percussion, and throat ripping vocals. I love the heavy bass lines and the breakdowns are absolutely sick. I searched for a more literary description, but honestly, if I had to describe Kaos's music in one word, it would be SICK.
Lyrically it is alternately poetic, vulgar, and brutally honest; something lacking in today's industry of sterile pop-generated environment. This CD is not for the light at heart, but if you need a dose of true thrash, you require this for your collection.
Kaos is:
Jason Darnell – Vocals
Stacey Murray – Guitar
Joe Loescher – Guitar
Jay Figueroa – Bass
Burton P. Ortega - Drums
