Do DVI to HDMI converters work?
A DVI-D video signal is in the same format as an HDMI video signal, so with a simple passive adapter to convert the DVI-D connector to an HDMI connector, it will work, at least for signals up to 1080/60p.
Is DVI capable of audio?
If you want to transmit audio over DVI, you’ll need to use a special DVI-to-HDMI cable. Assuming your computer’s video card supports HDMI audio via DVI, this cable will allow you to transmit both video and audio using a single cable. The good news is that most modern video cards support this feature.
Can you convert audio to HDMI?
This audio converter can also transfer a 4K HDMI signal and out it via HDMI, optical SPDIF, or RCA L/R stereo audio out. That audio can then be sent to an amplifier, AV receiver, soundbar, and more.
