Why is my subwoofer getting power but not working?
The most common cause of a subwoofer not working is the wiring or the connections of the subwoofer with the rest of the sound system. Leaks, breakage, twists, corrosion, loose connections and incorrect wiring are all quite common and can create problems with the subwoofer even if the amp has power.
How do you connect a headunit to a subwoofer?
A subwoofer and an amp run on a different voltage than your speakers and head unit. To compensate, connect a line out converter to your head unit by connecting the right channel and left channel in the line converter to the right channel and the left channel in the head unit with RCA cables.
Why does my amp have no output?
The speaker is completely blown. The output transformer is open or otherwise faulty. The speaker jack is not wired correctly. The speaker wiring has deteriorated, or the jacks have rusted to the extent that they can no longer make the proper connection.
